The Parks and Recreation Department maintains the listed parks and bike paths within Chillicothe city limits. We also reserve shelter houses for special events, regulate pass sales for the Donald M. Smith Memorial Pool, maintain Millennium Grove, the Tree Commission, and coordinate city baseball, softball, soccer, and football leagues as well as arts and crafts classes, the Fourth of July fireworks display, annual Christmas decoration contest, Arbor Day celebrations, and other annual events.

The City of Chillicothe is currently accepting reservations for the rental of Shelter houses in our Park's System, including Yoctangee Park for 2015.

The Parks and Recreation Board meets the third Wednesday of every month at 5:00 PM in the first floor conference room of the City Administration Building at 35 South Paint Street.
