                           SOUTH WATT STREET IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 1 & PHASE 2

Sealed proposals for the South Watt Street Improvements – Phase 1 & Phase 2 will be received by the Mayor of the City of Chillicothe, Ohio at the office of the Engineering/Building Department located on the 3^rd floor at 35 South Paint Street, Chillicothe, OH 45601 until 2:00 p.m. on June 22, 2021 at said office.  Bids will then immediately be opened in the 3^rd floor conference room and read aloud.

Plans, Specifications, and bid forms may be secured at the Engineering Department. A deposit of $20.00 will be required for each set of plans and specifications check made payable to the Director of Public Service.  The $20.00 deposit is nonrefundable.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Director of Public Service, City of Chillicothe, Ohio or by certified check or cashiers check in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Director of Public Service, City of Chillicothe, Ohio.  Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond.

Bids shall be sealed and marked as Bid for the South Watt Street Improvements – Phase 1 & Phase 2 and mailed or delivered to: Engineering/Building Department, 35 South Paint Street, Chillicothe, Ohio 45601 clearly marked with “Bid for South Watt Street Improvements – Phase 1 & Phase 2”.

Phase 1 & Phase 2: Attention of bidders  is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, various insurance requirements, various employment opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price.

Phase 1: Attention of bidders is called to State of Ohio Labor Standards Provisions including Prevailing Wage Rates.

Phase 2: Attention of bidders is called to all applicable federal regulations and requirements of the Federal Wage Rates and the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts.

No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.                                                                                                                                                                     The City of Chillicothe, Ohio reserves the right to waive any informality, change quantities, or to reject any or all bids.
