Mayor Luke Feeney
Elected in November of 2015 and re-elected after running unopposed in 2019, Luke Feeney is
serving in his second term as Mayor of the City of Chillicothe. Prior to being elected Mayor he
served as the City Auditor for three years. Luke has worked to improve the City’s financial
stability, emphasized excellence in the delivery of services and the quality of life in Chillicothe.
During his time in office the City has opened two shuttered fire stations and increased
community safety via staffing and efficiency in the dispatching of emergency services. Luke has
overseen paving programs that also add new sidewalks and bike lanes with the goal of a
healthier, more walkable community; he introduced the City’s curbside recycling program and
was pleased to be a part of opening Chillicothe’s first dog park.
Luke is proud to call Chillicothe home. After graduating from Ohio University he attended law
school at Case Western and moved to Chillicothe to work for Southeastern Ohio Legal Services
in 2006. He and his wife Stacy live in historic downtown with their son Colin (6) and daughter
Marin (3), and they are all excited to be a part of Chillicothe’s revitalization.
Luke was a speaker at the 2016 Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, is a 2018
alumnus of the Glenn College Public Leadership Academy and was a McCloy Fellow during the
2017 Leadership Mission in Germany. He serves on the board of directors of the Ohio Municipal
League and South Central Ohio Big Brothers Big Sisters.
